At Discovery we believe that Christian education is much more than imparting knowledge about religious matters. It is the shaping of spirits into fully devoted followers of Jesus. Our mission is to be the kind of community of faith where adults, youth, and children can find a safe place to grow in their relationship with God. Through worship, service, classes, and small groups, all those who come may learn how to live out Biblical principles that are relevant to our particular lives.

Here are some the opportunities that Discovery provides to help people of all ages to grow into disciples:

Adults

Alleluia Class - Study and discussion of the International Bible Series, applying scripture to living in our world today

Genesis Class - Discussions on books and topics relevant to families struggling to be the best people and parents they can be

Seekers Class - Lively, challenging and inspiring discussions centered around how God is working in and through lives and how his plan is being fulfilled

Young Adult Class - Reading and lively discussions about images of God in literature

Youth

Youth Fellowship - Fun, food, and lively experiences to help teenagers live a life devoted to Christ in a complicated world

• Youth Fellowship - 5:30 PM Sundays

• 5^th and 6^th Grade Fellowship-- 4:30 PM Sundays (during school year only)

• Other Youth Happenings - Mission trips and activities for service, fun and spiritual growth

Worship - Children at Discovery learn about worship by being involved in our regular lively worship services which are designed to include them. Children ages 3 through 1st grade may spend sermon time at "Kid’s Break" with loving adults.

Sunday Worship Services - 9:30 AM

• Sunday School - Active classes that explore scriptures and themes used in worship each Sunday. Art, storytelling, songs and plays make the Bible come alive. Classes begin with toddlers.

• Vacation Bible School - Treasure Hunt Bible Adventure for ages 4 through upcoming third graders. Come and join us as we brave the rain forest looking for the "true treasure" found in the Bible. August 2-6 from 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm.

• Day Camp - We Shine for Jesus - After studying Bible stories the children will be given the opportunity to develop a multi-media presentation of a story.   For upcoming fourth, fifth and sixth graders.  July 13, 14, 15 from 8:30 am to 3:00 pm.

• Joyful Noise - Praise choir for children 2nd through 5th grades. The children are song leaders for Sunday morning worship once each month

          Practice - (times to be announced - during school year only)

• Cherub Choir - Children ages 3-1st grade who sing special music for worship services one Sunday each month.

Nursery

At Discovery, we believe that a child begins to learn about God’s love even as they are being rocked in loving arms.

• Our nursery is staffed by childcare workers who care about the happiness and safety of each child.
• Children are provided with age appropriate toys as well as activities to use their muscles and their creativity.
• Toddlers receive a teaching time of simple Bible stories, songs, and crafts to set the stage for learning about God’s love for them.
• Nursery is provided during all worship services and most other church events and classes.
